Using the readings and resources assigned this week:
• Select a vulnerable population and analyze /discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the current healthcare legislation and policies that support this population.
• What steps could be taken to further empower this vulnerable population and their families to improve health outcomes and reduce health disparities?
• Outline federal and/or state policy interventions (minimum of two) to reduce health disparities.
• Reflect and discuss your experience playing Spent, the poverty simulation game. Analyze how has this changed your view of social determinants of health.
Post your original response by the end of Day 3. Then, by the end of Day 6, respond to at least two of your classmates’ posts.
