It is a dissertation for a bachelor level in nursing and it is a systemic review of different articles and journals. From the requirement of the university, it is needed to identified 6-8 articles in the dissertation as a critical literature review.The structure of the dissertation is divided into different parts.It is started with introduction and backgrounds, which accounts for around 2300 words.In this section, it is to address why I am interested in the selected area and topic. Firstly it’s a general area of interest, like the clinical area which I am working in, i.e in the neurosurgical unit, It’s encourage to link to the relevant Hospital Authority’ Annual plans (Hong Kong). Then describe how the topic was established and form, like how’s the significance or why it is important to concern about it with some statistic or article to support. And the last part in the introduction part is to clearly state the selected topic and explain the flow and structure of the paper. Besides, the research question, aim and objective should be stated.The second part is methodology and methods, which accounts for 2000 words.In the part, a short section is needed to be included to discuss what literature says about literature reviews as a research methodology and writer’s thought in literature review, whether is an appropriated methodology fir the study. It is recommended to included other research methodology as comparison. After that, it is needed to describe how to search and what database was used in searching the articles with reasons.The terms used in the searching of articles are needed to be listed out in a form of Boolean search table(s). The inclusion and exclusion criteria should be explained. The critiquing framework (like CASP-UK, 2014) used should also be stated with reasons. Besides, it is needed to discuss various ways of analyzing other people’s research finding with reference and the ethical implication of literature review as a research methodology. To sum up, it is a section which concerning ”How” and Why” literature review.The third part is results which accounts for 1600 words.In this part, the selected (6-8) article should be stated. The reason of selecting and the type of articles should be discussed in some details. It is need to show the critiques of all the articles in a table format and placed in the Appendix with the original articles. In the section of result, it is included 6-8 summary critique grid for the respective 6-8 articles. A summary is needed in essay format in summarizing the findings of the critiques supporting what you write with reference to the research literature.The next part is analysis, which accounts for 1600 words. It is important to clearly list and explain how the theme are merge from those articles. It is a section which explained how to use the selected articles to answer the selected question in the topic. It is recommended to use a table to compare the result of different articles and then to merge them to identify the theme and how can it ans the topic questions.The following is discussion which is around 1500 words.There are several questions to be answered in the section.-What do the themes identified really mean and what implication are there for your practice. What are the benefit will the finding deliver to the patients, their families, professionals and the organization. How do the theme related to the ideas that emerged during the background and whether further research is needed in this aspect. What are the ethical implication of the study and what are the limitations. Finally is the things learned as a researcher.The last part is conclusion and recommendation, which is around 1000.
