EVEN WITH THE IMPLEMENTATION OF “OBAMA CARE” MANY OF THE UNDER SERVED ARE NOT GETTING ROUTINE CHECK UPS OR FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH TREATMENT PLANS REQUIRING FURTHER OUT OF POCKET COSTS. ALTHOUGH MANAGED CARE HAS REDUCED COSTS AS COMPARED TO YEARS AGO WHEN IT WAS TRULY A FEE FOR SERVICE MARKET, THE COSTS ARE STILL NOT AS MANAGEABLE FOR A SOCIETY THAT PREDOMINATELY LIVES PAY CHECK TO PAY CHECK. IS IT TRUE OR NOT? EXPLAIN!

I will agree that our society does take initiatives to improve the health of our citizens but the reality is that there are still many individuals with chronic illness and disease that do not receive the care or treatments that they need. Even with the implementation of “Obama Care” many of the under served are not getting routine check ups or following through with treatment plans requiring further out of pocket costs. Although managed care has reduced costs as compared to years ago when it was truly a fee for service market, the costs are still not as manageable for a society that predominately lives pay check to pay check.
