As you may know, some states participated in the ACA Medicaid Expansion stating in 2014 and other states did not adopt. Some states initially participated and then withdrew. Other states have recently adopted the Medicaid Expansion. Purpose of Assignment: To review information about two states one state that is participating in ACA (Expanded Medicaid) and the second state is one not participating in the ACA (Non-Expanded State). You will summarize the comparison information about each state to prepare a memo to send to your audience. It is important to inform your audience that states insurance plans & Medicaid vary from state-to-state. Reminder: The intent of a memo is to be a specific kind of professional product. In a good policy memo, you should succinctly convey information, analysis, and conclusions that will help your readers make a better decision than they would have otherwise.
